SAMSBL is a league of adult amateurs who play baseball (real hardball) in age divisions of Open, 30 &
over, 40 & over, 50 & over, and 60 & over. The SAMSBL is a member of the national organization known as the Men's Senior Baseball
League/Men's Adult Baseball League (MSBL/MABL).
The league is for men who love the game of baseball. SAMSBL is in its third decade of existence. We have tryouts once a year in February. We all pay to play from
mid-March until August for league games (about 21 games) on weekends.
Tournaments are extra and usually occur over the major holidays
throughout the summer. The grand finale is the National
World Series in Phoenix, AZ during October.

The World Series-bound teams are shaping up as shown below. Deposits are due national headquarters by mid-July. Each Player must pay his own
way. The cost for each player can exceed $500. However, team unity of traveling, hotel accommodations, and car pooling can minimize the individual
expense. For the Rookies going, it is an unforgettable experience. So commit early. As a reminder for all SAMSBL members, if we are sending a
team in your age bracket, then expect to play with a San Antonio team. A release is required from me to play on another team. Expect no releases.

This group represents well over a third of our League. We are the only League in the MSBL nation that sends this many teams and players. To date,
we have sent over 170 teams to this event. Last year we had 4 teams playing in championship games at one time; 2 won. This year at least 7 should
get to the final game of their bracket.
